Obituary for Ruth Kerr Duff Ruth Kerr Duff
Oronoco Brethren Church Member Dies At Age 78

Ruth Kerr Duff, 78, of Lexington, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 in the Benjamin Borden Health Care Center at Kendal.

Mrs. Duff was born on April 2, 1928 in Amherst County, a daughter of the late George Kerr and Ada Wise Kerr.

She was a member of the Oronoco Brethren Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Duff; one son, Glenn Edward Duff, Jr.; three sisters: Mildred Kitchen, Evelyn Wise, and Annie Tomlin; and four brothers: Claude, John, Lloyd and R. C. Kerr.

Mrs. Duff is survived by two daughters: Vergie Moore and husband Danny of Lexington and Wanda Flint and husband Pete of Buena Vista; one son, Gregory Duff of Vesuvius; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2006 in the Oronoco Brethren Church Cemetery with Pastor Michael Wilburn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rockbridge Area Free Clinic, 25 North Ridge Lane, Lexington, VA. 24450 or the Lexington Baptist Church Organ Fund, 75 Old Farm Road, Lexington, VA. 24450. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
