Helen Aline Sorrells, 84, of Lexington, died Friday, June 16, 2006 in Havenwood.

Mrs. Sorrells was born on December 23, 1921 in Rockbridge County and was a daughter of the late Howard Truslow and Minnie Smith Truslow.

She was a member of the Bible Church at Rockbridge and was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Andrew Sorrells.

Mrs. Sorrells is survived by her husband, Henry C. Sorrells; one son, Charles H. Sorrells; three daughters, Carol Ann Sorrells, Nancy G. Wade, and Wanda L. Troxell, all of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Stacey Wade, Dawn Wade Riley, Charles Lee Sorrells, Melinda Sorrells Breeden, Susan Fix, Matt Fix, Danny Fix, David Fix; and seven great-grandchildren, Ryan Scott Fix, Jory Fix, Andrew Fix, Luke Riley, Grace Riley, Destiny Breeden and Kayla Trent.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2006 in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor George Warden, Jr. officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, P. O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450. Arrangements by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
