Obituary for Lois Burwell Hamric Lois Burwell Hamric
N.C. Native Was USPS Retiree

Lois Burwell Hamric, 67, of Lexington, died Monday, June 19, 2006 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Hamric was born on October 4, 1938 in Oxford, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Taylor S. Burwell and Elizabeth W. Brown.

She was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Hamric.

Mrs. Hamric is survived by two daughters: Lisa E. Dean of Louisville, KY and Sandra Krumma and husband Thomas of Lanesville, Indiana; one son, William Salerno and wife Tracy of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren: Taylor W. Dean of Louisville, KY, Austin D. and Samuel W. Krumma of Lanesville, IN and William A. Salerno of Chicago, IL; one brother, Sidney Brown of Lexington and one sister, Nancy Catlett of Poquoson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Zeb Carson Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rockbridge S.P.C.A., P. O. Box 528, Lexington, VA. 24450. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the Harrison Funeral Chapel, Lexington.
