James Taylor Kirkpatrick, 87, of Buena Vista, departed this life on June 17, 2006.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Statome Kirkpatrick.

He is survived by two sons and five stepgrandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Kirkpatrick Bolt of Raleigh, NC.

He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina where he lettered in gymnastics.

He will be missed by his friends and family who are very grateful for the care he received from the staffs at Heritage Hall and Lexington Dialysis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the patient emergency fund at Lexington Dialysis.
