Cody Rhiannon Maxwell, 21, of Glasgow, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 in Roanoke.

She was the daughter of Lois Cornell Yancy of Glasgow and William Rodney Maxwell of Stewartsville.

She was a 2003 graduate of Rockbridge County High School and attended Virginia Tech.

She was employed by Clark Electric and was owner and operator of Tail Waggin' Pet Grooming.

Miss Maxwell was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jimmy Eugene Yancy and her grandmother, Ruth I. Cornell.

In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by one brother, Dustin Ross Maxwell of Glasgow; her maternal grandfather, George M. Cornell of Arlington; an aunt and uncle, Gary and Jan DeMoss and cousins, Kristen, Lindsay and David of Silver Springs, Maryland.

Friends are invited to attend the memorial celebration of Cody's life at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Effinger Fire Department with Rev. Skip Hastings officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Effinger Fire Department, 2824 Collierstown Road, Lexington, VA. 24450.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
