SJH Volunteer Retired From University Cleaners

Carrie Jane Hall, 96, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at her home.

She was born on September 4, 1909 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Loney Wilbert Hall and Mary Frances Rowsey Hall.

She was a member of the Lauderdale ARP Church, where she was an active member of the Annie Kidd Bible Class, Janet White Circle and the S.H.A.R.P.S. Club.

She was the last surviving charter member of the Loving Rebekah Lodge #74, where she served several terms in the office of District Deputy President of the Rebekah Assembly.

She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Patriarch Militant (LAPM) of Clifton Forge #22.

She was retired from University Cleaners after 39 years of service and was a volunteer with the Stonewall Jackson Hospital Auxiliary and worked at the Thrift Shop for many years.

Survivors include on sister, Beulah Falls of Lexington; two special nephews and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the Lauderdale ARP Church with Dr. James D. Graves, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
