Jane Miller Wheeling, 70, of Lexington, died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at her home.

Mrs. Wheeling was born October 11, 1935 in Talcott, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Hugh Clifton Miller and Melvina Wyant Miller.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lindsay Wheeling.

Mrs. Wheeling was a nurse with the Rockbridge Free Clinic.

Surviving are one daughter, Jennifer Wheeling Brady and husband Don of Roanoke; one son, Joseph Samuel Wheeling and wife Holly of Blacksburg; one sister, Elizabeth Mr. Corney and husband Robert of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren: Sarah and George Bandy; Norah, Anissa, Abigail and Nicholas Wheeling.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Schroeder officiating. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Church Fellowship Hall prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, The Rockbridge Free Clinic, The Rockbridge SPCA or the Good Shepherd Evangelical Church.
