Isabel Johnson Conner, 93, of Lexington, died Thursday, August 3, 2006 at her home.

She was born April 16, 1913 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Owen James Johnson and Bessie Bane Johnson.

She was a member of the Bible Church at Rockbridge and was retired from VMI.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence William Conner; three brothers: James Johnson, Claude Johnson, and Clarence Johnson; one sister, Pearl Johnson Conner.

Mrs. Conner is survived by five sisters: Patty Sensabaugh, Mildred Reynolds, Frances Forsyth, Lola Engleman, all of Lexington, and Nancy Swisher of Fairfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2006 at the Bible Church at Rockbridge with pastor George Warden officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery, Lexington.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.

The Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory in Lexington will be handling all the arrangements.
