Obituary for Audrey Arrietta Hostetter Audrey Arrietta Hostetter
County Native Was Faith Baptist Church Member

Audrey Arrietta Hostetter, 82, of Lexington, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Mrs. Hostetter was born in Rockbridge County on October 2, 1923, a daughter of the late James Columbus Hostetter and Sadie Elizabeth Reynolds Hostetter.

She was a member of the Faith Mountain Baptist Church and was preceded in death by three brothers: Grant Hostetter, Paul Hostetter and Orson Hostetter; one sister, Leola Covill; a great granddaughter, Shanell Clark; and a son-in-law, Rawlin Clingempeel.

She is survived by three daughters: Brenda Clingempeel of Lynchburg; Carol Nair and husband, Herb of Lexington and Vicki Hostetter of Goshen; two sons: Jerry Hostetter of New Jersey and Elvin Jay Hostetter and wife Donna of Lexington; two brothers: Carl Linden Hostetter of Lexington and Clyde Burton Hostetter of South Carolina; two sisters: Opal Hostetter Shafer and Agnes Hostetter Campbell, both of Lexington; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Pastor Louis Dodd officiating. The family received friends Friday, August 11 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
