She was born March 16, 1929 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of Annie Bell Hostetter and George Everett Emore.

She is survived by a son, Johnny Bowyer of Lexington and a brother, Paul Junior Emore of Natural Bridge Station.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Jacktown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
