Dorothy Greene Hartless, 78, of Lexington, died Monday, September 11, 2006.

She was born March 31, 1928 in Buena Vista, the daughter of the late Walter Lee Greene and Louise Slough Greene.

Mrs. Hartless was a member of the Lexington Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Walker Hartless; one sister, Nancy G. Campbell and one brother, Lewis C. Greene.

She is survived by two daughters: Daisy L. Showalter and Donna Kay Jones, both of Lexington; three sisters: Shirley A. Bowyer of Gum Springs, Joyce G. Wilmore of Natural Bridge and Rebecca J. Davis of Lexington; a brother, R. Wayne Greene of Maryland; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at the New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery, Lexington, with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family will receive friend any time at the residence.
