Kenneth Leon Hartless, 67, of Buena Vista, died Monday, September 18, 2006.

He was born in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Walter Berry Hartless and Estelle Mae Dunn Hartless.

Mr. Hartless attended the Pentecostal Outreach Church. He was an ex-Marine and received numerous awards.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lewis Hartless and two sons.

He is survived by children: Nina, Bridgett, Tammy, Kenneth, Jr. and Jimmy Alan Hartless; five brothers: William Stanley Hartless and John William Hartless, both of Buena Vista; Wallace Junior Hartless of Alexandria, Ralph Hunter Hartless of Fairfield, and Wilfred Berry Hartless of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Stella May Baker of Waynesboro; a special friend, Betty Cale; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista, with Rev. Larry Clark officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
