Estelle Huffman Secrist, 91, of Buena Vista, was called home to be with her Lord, Monday, September 25, 2006.

She was born in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late William M. Huffman and Regina Green Huffman.

She was a member of the Calvary Brethren Church.

Mrs. Secrist was preceded in death by her husbands, Cordie Garrett, Sr. Eugene Secrist, and a son, Calvin L. Garrett; and three brothers: Paul, Joe, and James Huffman.

She is survived by three sons: Richard C. Garrett of Lexington; Claude L. Garrett and Charles M. Secrist, both of Buena Vista; two daughters: Betty G. Nicely of Buena Vista and Clara S. Huffman of Lexington; a special sister, Mary B. Humphreys of Buena Vista; sisters: Gladys Bates and Ruth Evans, both of Buena Vista; and a very special friend, Peggy R. Fitzgerald of Buena Vista; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the Calvary Brethren Church with Rev. Rick Ramsey, Rev. Jim Carrigan and Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Lexington.
