Obituary for Clarence Frazier Craney, Jr. Clarence Frazier Craney, Jr.
Air Force Veteran Retired In 1994 From VMI

Clarence Frazier Craney, Jr., passed away on October 29, 2006.

He was born on February 1, 1932 to the late Lillian harper Craney and Clarence F. Craney, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Willa Mae Turner.

Clarence served in the United States Air Force. He retired in 1994 after more than 30 years with the Virginia Military Institute. He was a member of the Lexington Sportsman Club and the American Legion Post 291 since 1952.

He is survived by six children: Maxine, Nadine, Conrad, Bridgett, Alyson and Bruce Craney; two grandsons and one great grandson. Also surviving are his twin brother, Edward Craney and sisters, Constance Poindexter, Nettie Carter, and Elaine Jackson, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Bollinger and Rev. William K. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
