Obituary for Charles Stephen Harlow, Sr. Charles Stephen Harlow, Sr.
Avid Hunter Also Enjoyed Building Race Cars

Charles Stephen ("Steve") Harlow, Sr., of Lexington, died October 30, 2006.

He was born on April 6, 1960 in Lexington, a son of Dorothy Lotts Harlow of Spottswood and the late Charles Newton Harlow.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two great nephews, Ryan Smedley and Trey Bass.

He was a member of the Timber Ridge ARP Church. He enjoyed building race cars. He was an avid race fan and deer hunter.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Harlow is survived by his wife, Deborah K. Harlow; a son, Charles Stephen Harlow, Jr. and his wife, April, of Lexington; a daughter, Rebecca Elizabeth Harlow at home; a brother, Scott E. Harlow and his wife, Tina of Fairfield; four sisters: Jean Fauber and husband, Charles; Emily Harlow; Betty Lou Koogler and husband, Doug; and Connie Harlow, all of Raphine; two grandchildren: Ashley and Amber; brother-in-law, Richard C. Garrett and wife, Teresa of Lexington and beloved dogs, Bubba and Daisy; and a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Interment will follow at the Timber Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
