Forrest Edward Walker, 84, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, November 3, 2006.

He was born November 30, 1921 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Samuel Walker and Hannah Shaw Walker.

He was a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was retired from Landford Brothers.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances Cunningham Walker; a son, Ed Walker and special friend, Linda Floyd of Buena Vista; grandson, Justin Walker and his wife, Stacey, of Buena Vista; and a special great grandson, Cole "Pumpkin" Walker of Buena Vista.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the Buena Vista Rescue Squad.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2006 at Bolling, Gross & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 4 at Bolling, Gross & Lotts Funeral Home & Crematory Service.
