Manly Memorial Baptist Church Member Dies At Age 73

Marvin Raymond Loudermilk, 73, of Lexington, died Sunday, November 5, 2006.

He was born January 28, 1933 in Natural Bridge, a son of the late Melvin Raymond Loudermilk and Ruby Smith Loudermilk.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard Loudermilk.

Mr. Loudermilk was a member of the Manly Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from Reeves Brothers.

Mr. Loudermilk is survived by his wife, Sylvia Harvey Loudermilk; two children: Mike Loudermilk and his wife Barbara of Lexington and Lisa Pullen and her husband Eric of Shenandoah; three brothers: Winfred A. Loudermilk of Lexington; Lawrence E. Loudermilk of Fort Gray, WV; and Leonard A. Loudermilk of Goshen; a sister, Charlotte Grube of California; two grandchildren: Michael T. and Amanda L. Loudermilk of Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lexington Life Saving and First Aid Crew.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Pastor Michael Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
