Obituary for Mayme Higgins Wines Mayme Higgins Wines
Was Ebenezer ARP Church Member

Mayme Higgins Wines, 72, of Lexington, died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Mayflower.

Born June 22, 1935 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence O. Higgins and Ruth Horn Higgins.

Mrs. Wines was a member of the Ebenezer ARP Church and was a past member of the Women of the Moose.

Mrs. Wines retired from Burlington Industries and was preceded in death by her husband, O. Keith "Dude" Wines.

Surviving are a son, Timothy K. Wines of Harrisonburg; a daughter, Deborah W. Plogger and husband Rodney of Rockbridge Baths; a grandson, Jeremy K. Brown of Lexington.

Also surviving are many friends and her Mayflower family.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the Harrison Funreal Chapel with the Rev. Zeb Carson Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ebenezer ARP Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, P. O. Box 948, Lexington, Va. 24450. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
