Obituary for Belvey W. Mundy, Jr. Belvey W. Mundy, Jr.
VMI Graduate Taught At VMI, University Of Florida

Belvey W. Mundy, Jr., 89, of Lexington, Virginia, died on Tuesday, November 14, 2006.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. W. G. Vermillion and a brother, Marvin Munday.

He was a graduate of VMI and Indiana University.

He served two years in the Pacific while in the United States Army during World War II.

He taught for many years at VMI and the University of Florida.

He delivered Meals on Wheels and drove patients for treatment to UVA and also in Roanoke.

Surviving are his sister, Dorothy Ann Mundy of Salem; a brother, Roderick A. Munday, Sr. of Charlottesville, VA; nephews: James Vermillion and wife Betty Anne of Virginia Beach, VA and Roderick Mundy, Jr. and wife Francine of Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at Fair View Cemetery on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bernard Via officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leyburn Library, Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Va. 24450.

Arrangements are being handled by the Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
