Mildred Louise Riley Floyd, 82, of Buena Vista, died Friday, November 17, 2006.

She was born February 19, 1924 in Rockbridge County, daughter of the late John William Riley and Rose Plogger Riley.

She retired from Burlington Industries after 39 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Floyd; two brothers and five sisters.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by a daughter, Karen E. Reid of buena Vista; a sister, Lonnie M. Floyd of buena Vista; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, 129 Randolph St., Lexington, VA. 24450.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gib Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2006 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Crematory Service, Buena Vista.
