Obituary for Ileta Mae Fainter Rogers Ileta Mae Fainter Rogers
Retired From Burlington After 36 Years Of Service

Ileta Mae Fainter Rogers, 79, of Lexington passed away Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born December 31, 1926 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late John Fred and Nellie Amanda Watts Fainter.

She retired from Burlington Industries after 36 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Franklin "Boy" Rogers, a brother, Curtis F. Fainter, a sister, Emily Franklin, her grandson-in-law, Randy Byers, brother-in-law, Loyd Thompson, and sister-in-law, Arlene Catlett.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Larry W. "Monk" Coleman of Glasgow; three grandchildren: Thomas M. "Tommy" Coleman of Raleigh, NC, Lisa Drewry and husband, Josh, of Glasgow, and Tracy Byers of Buena Vista; one great grandchild, Derek Byers; one brother, Fred O. Fainter and wife, Nancy of Glasgow; two sisters: Ruby Thompson and Bunny Slough and husband, Lloyd, both of Glasgow; a sister-in-law, Margaret Fainter of Big Island and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Lomax Funeral Home. Lomax Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
