Eva Cash Wheeler, 97, of Spotsylvania, formerly of Buena Vista, died Monday, November 27, 2006 at Carriage Hill Nursing Center, where she had resided for over 3 years.

She was born in Buena Vista, Virginia on January 11, 1909.

Eva was a wonderful wife and mother of six children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James "Hicky" Wheeler; her son, Cecil "Monk" and a daughter, Frances Gibbs.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters: Maggie Kistner of Modesto, CA; Shirley Hayden of Spotsvylvania; JoAnne Davis and her husband, Steve of Springfield; and Rhomelda Hunt and her husband, Jim of Spotsylvania; her daughter-in-law, Margaret "Terry" Wheeler of Spotsylvania; 13 grandchildren, including Terry Allen, whom she raised; 25 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She also leaves 2 step grandchildren; and two step great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eva will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Bishop Leon Wilhelm officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia. Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Crematory Serivce, Buena Vista.
