Obituary for Eugene H. Hotinger Eugene H. Hotinger
World War II Veteran Earned A Bronze Star

Eugene H. Hotinger, 85, joined his beloved wife, Blanche Reid Hotinger on December 7, 2006.

Born in Collierstown to R. W. and Ora Montgomery Hotinger, he was a World War II Infantry Veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star for bravery beyond the call of duty.

He retired after 42 years of service with James Lees (Mohawk) in Glasgow.

He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Morgan and survived by sons Eugene Jr. of Utah, Herbert of Roanoke and daughter, Geneva (Dannie) Milliner of Georgia; five sisters: Ora Lee (Leonard) Hepner of Woodstock; Nancy (William) Sheldon of Florida; Nellie (Phil) Leech and Mildred (E.G.) Huffman of Airport Acres; and Ruby (Robert) Brankley of Richmond; a grandson, Barry (Sarah) Milliner and daughter, Katie Nicole of Georgia and granddaughter, Kelly Hotinger and her daughter, Emma Rose Traxell of Roanoke.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William M. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
