Obituary for Charles D. Fitzgerald Sr. Charles D. Fitzgerald Sr.
Buena Vista Native Was Industrial Mechanic

Charles D. Fitzgerald Sr., 62, of Manchester, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born January 2, 1944 in Buena Vista, Virginia, he was the son of the late Woodie F. and Bertie P. Fridley Fitzgerald.

He was the husband of Roxanne L. Fitzgerald.

He was an industrial mechanic for Pall Corporation in Timonium.

He was a member of the St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church and Cedar Lake Camp Ground.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and dadughter-in-law Charles D. Jr. and Toni Fitzgerald of Manchester; daughters and son-in-law Amy and Jason Eckard of Manchester, and Megan M. Russell of Manchester; grandchildren: Billy, Tabi, Skylar, Parker, Jillian, Joe, Madison, Brenden and Sydnie; great grandchildren: Kayleigh and Alyssa; brother, Marvin B. Fitzgerald of Virginia; and sisters: Frances McCormick, Margaret Silvea, Evelyn Benson, and Mildred Lloyd, all of Virginia.

He was predeceased by brothers Willy F., Herbert L., James E. and Woody M. Fitzgerald; and sisters Dorothy Wilmer and Hazel Smith.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Intermet will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Taneytown.

The family received friends Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.
