Thurman Earl Ogden, 76, of Glasgow, died Thursday, December 14, 2006 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 19, 1930 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Charles Ogden and Blanche Sandidge Ogden.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline H. Ogden; two sons: Daryl Ogden and his wife, Kaye of Glasgow, and Randall Ogden of Natural Bridge Station; three sisters: Gladie Kerr and Stella Camden of Glasgow and Katie Wines of Richmond; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Glasgow Rescue Squad or Glasgow Fire Department.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home, but the family will receive friends at anytime at the residence, 637 Pocahontas St., Glasgow, VA.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. William M. Thomas officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
