Obituary for Charles Coleman Hayslette Charles Coleman Hayslette
Burlington Retiree Also Worked At Lake Robertson

Charles Coleman Hayslette, 88, of Lexington, died Saturday, December 16, 2006 in the Virginia Veterans Care Center.

Born April 12, 1918 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Charles Dorman Hayslette and Virginia Clark Hayslette.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Mae Cummings Hayslette.

Mr. Hayslette was a member of the Collierstown United Methodist Church.

He retired from Burlington Industries and had worked for many years at Lake Robertson.

Surviving are his son, Robert C. Hayslette and wife, Amy of Lexington; a sister, Marie Ballard and a sister-in-law, Rosa Hayslette, both of Lexington; a brother-in-law, William Cummings of Waynesboro; two grandchildren: Steven Hayslette and wife, Brenda of Cookeville, Tennessee and Sandra Hayslette of Lexington; five great grandchildren: Josie, Lucas, Samuel, Nathaniel and Celeste.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Calvin Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
