Lula Elizabeth Milam Brizendine, 89, of Glasgow, died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the Shenandoah Valley Health Center.

Mrs. Brizendine was born July 23, 1917 in Big Island, a daughter of the late Clifton Milam and Sarah Brown Milam.

She was a member of the Glasgow Presbyterian Church.

Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Thomas Brizendine; one daughter, Ann B. Acuff of Bernardsville, New Jersey; one granddaughter, Laura B. Acuff of Carry, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Glasgow Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robin McMullen officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Island Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Glasgow Presbyterian Church or to your favorite charity.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
