Franklin "Frankie" Telton Allen, age 61, of Raphine, died Sunday, December 24, 2006 at his residence.

He was born November 29, 1945 in Montebello, son of the late Jacob Edward and Ethel Carlene Grant Allen.

He was a foreman for Webster & Webster of Verona. He was a member of the Irish Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church and loved hunting, fishing and bluegrass music.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Kay Croushorn Allen; daughters, Lorrie Kay Allen Wood and husband James of Virginia Beach and Amanda Ann Allen of Virginia Beach; sister, Paulene Allen Bryant of Buena Vista; brothers, Wilmer Edward Allen of Vesuvius and Lewis W. Allen of Buena Vista; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kennan W. Allen.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the Irish Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Wayne Dickson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista, VA (540-261-6585)
