James David Turman of Buena Vista, VA, passed away from this life Monday, January 1, 2007 in his home surrounded by his children.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Linda Rae Moore Turman and his son, Ted James Turman II.

He is survived by his children, Ruth Turman, Paul Turman, Rebecca Silvay, Jonathan Turman, Deborah Wheeler, and Maria Maldonado. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Buena Vista Chapel, Rt. 60 West, Buena Vista, VA. The family will receive visitors that evening prior to the funeral services from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Buena Vista Chapel. A graveside service will follow the next day, January 7, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, VA.
