She Was A Homemaker And Babysitter

Mildred Marie Bryant Hall, 85, of 214 Furnace Hill Rd., Goshen, VA, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 3, 2007 at Heritage Hall in Lexington, surrounded by her family.

She was born August 28, 1921 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Percy Amos and Nina (Smith) Bryant.

"Ma" was married to the late David William Hall, who died January 4, 1954. She was also preceded in death by a son, Earl; daughter-in-law, Peggy; brothers, James and Palmer Bryant; sisters, Ellen Floyd and Willie Bell.

Mrs. Hall was a homemaker and babysitter. She was known as "Ma" to everyone.

She leaves behind a son, Edgar Hall and wife, Grace, of Craigsville; her companion of 50 years, Charles Kennedy; daughter-in-law Dorothy; a special granddaughter, Pam Sprouse, whom she raised. She also leaves behind her sister, Martha; brothers, Charles and Doug; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a great, great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Little River Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lynwood Wilkes officiating. Interment will be at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Kerrs Creek. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 at Harrison Funeral Home and at other times at the residence, 236 Furnace Hill Rd., Goshen.
