Buena Vista Resident, Lifelong Ben Salem Presbyterian Church Member, Dies At Age 82

Wanda Lou Camden Hostetter, 82, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on January 15, 2026.

She was born on October 25, 1943, to Lawrence and Hilda (Holland) Camden.

She is survived and missed by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank Hostetter; two children, Renee Hamilton (Alan) and Michelle Cochran (Jeff); four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Darby (Aaron), Zach Hamilton (Sara), Logan Staton (Alisha) and Cameron Staton; six great-grandchildren, Easton, Reece, Baylee, Riley, Harper and Ko. She was also known as "Sissy" to a special nephew, Tim Vest (Tamyra) and a special niece, Terry Smyth (Owen).

Wanda was a lifelong member of Ben Salem Presbyterian Church.

Wanda was the heart of her family. She was such a gentle, kind and caring person who was loved and adored by her kids and grandkids. Wanda enjoyed cooking, sewing, watching University of Virginia basketball and working in her flower beds outside. Wanda will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank Tammy Hernandez, her caregiver and Connections Plus Health Care and Hospice for their compassionate care.

A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, January 23, at Ben Salem Presbyterian Church by Pastor Greg Jewett.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
