Stewart Burman Bailey Smith, 64, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 14, 1943 in Botetourt County, a son of the late Hazel Henry Smith and Alice Louise Grubs Smith.

He was a security guard at Burlington Industries and was a past member of the Glasgow First Aid Crew.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Phyllis Marie Smith; two sons: Danny Smith and his wife, Theresa, of Cloverdale and James Smith of Glasgow; three brothers: Ollie Andrew Smith of Roanoke, Henry Smith of Glasgow and Johnny Smith of Lexington; three sisters: Pauline Kelly of Lexington, Norma S. Austin and Barbara Joanne Stevenson, both of Glasgow; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the Glasgow Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
