Robey Jefferson Tyree, Sr., Robey Jefferson Tyree, Sr., 77, of Lexington, died Friday, January 26, 2007.

He was born February 16, 1929 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Elmer Stanley Tyree, Sr. and Minnie Ethel Clark Tyree.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evalena Wells Tyree.

He is survived by two daughters: Wanda Faye Tyree of Millboro and Mary Lou Frazier of Lexington; one son, Robey J. Tyree, Jr. of Roanoke; one brother, Elmer S. Tyree, Jr. of Lexington; three sisters: Dorothy Conner and Gay E. Sorrells, both of Lexington; and Ava Turbovich of Richmond; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. George H. Warden, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
