Obituary for Naomi Wilson Cutlip Naomi Wilson Cutlip
Spent Her Life Serving God, Caring For Family

Naomi Wilson Cutlip, 87, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 10 a.m. at her home in Lexington.

She was born August 30, 1919 in Marlinton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Samuel B. and Lillian Tyree Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Shelford L. Cutlip; four sisters: Ruth, Virginia, Allie, Irene and a brother, Willard.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She spent her life serving God and caring for family.

She was active in earlier years with school PTA and was den mother for the Cub Scouts in Holden, West Virginia.

She was a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church, Rockbridge Baths, Va. and was active in Circle #2.

She spent time visiting nursing homes, church activities and preparing quilts, pillows and caps for the Hope Cancer Center.

She is survived by one brother, William "Billy" Wilson of Northern Clifton, VA; a daughter, Sandra Lawson and husband, Jim of Garland, Texas; two sons: Samuel Cutlip and wife, Patsy of Blair, West Virginia; and Steve Cutlip and wife, Becky of Greenville, VA; two grandsons: Shawn Watts and wife Kim of Lynnville, Tennessee; and Robert Watts and wife, Brandy of Altoona, Florida; two granddaughters: Sabrina Fortune of Greenville, VA and Stephanie Cash and husband Sheldon of Bedford, VA; eleven great grandchildren: Nathan, Jordan, Alec, and Colton Watts of Altoona, FL; Tory, Angela, Meesha, Dakota, and Ryan Watts of Lynnville, Tennessee; Hailey and Landon Cash of Bedford, Va.

She had many close friends. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, zest for life, and beauty that radiated from within.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Malcolm Brownlee, Interim Pastor for Bethesda Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens, Lexington, Va.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va and at other times at the residence.
