Ethel Paulene Allen Bryant, 58, of Buena Vista, took the hand of her Savior Wednesday, April 25, 2007 and went to her eternal home.

She was born September 15, 1948 in Nelson County, a daughter of the late Jacob Edward Allen and Carlene Grant Allen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Kennan Wilson Allen and Franklin Telton Allen.

She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary and participant in the Relay for Life.

She is survived by her husband, Harry David Bryant; a daughter, Sandra Mechele Bryant, Buena Vista; two brothers: Wilmer Edward Allen, Vesuvius and Lewis William Allen, Buena Vista; a special friend, Sherry Porterfield, Buena Vista.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Irish Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Wayne Dickson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia and at other times at 1907 Pine Ave., Buena Vista.
