Obituary for Algie Mason Dunlap Algie Mason Dunlap
He Was A Member Of Trinity United Methodist Church

Algie Mason Dunlap, 87, of Lexington, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Kendal.

He was born February 8, 1920 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late William Algie Dunlap and Martha Mason Holladay Dunlap.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Firmstone Dunlap and Robert M. "Jack" Dunlap.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Lexington Moose Lodge. He was retired from Mead Associates after many years as a maintenance employee. Mason was well known in the area for his great gardening skills and the sharing of his annual harvest.

He is survived by two children, Charlene Sensabaugh and John Calvin Dunlap, both of Lexington; a sister, Imogene Rhodenizer, Lexington; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. Horace Douty officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2007 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
