Barbara Coleman Woodward, 75, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born May 3, 1932 in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late James Ernest and Alpha Sandidge Coleman.

She was a greeter at Wal-Mart and was a member of the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Woodward was preceded in death by her husband, Norvell F. (Buzz) Woodward, Jr.

Surviving are her sons and their wives: James N. (Woody) Woodward and Violeta of Newport News; Bill Woodward and Wanda, and Blair Woodward and Julia, all of Buena Vista; four grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Florence Lacks and her husband, Kenneth of Newport News.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert McMullen officiating. Burial will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church or to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad.
