Cornethia "Connie" G. Reid, 73 of Lexington died Sunday, June 24, 2007 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 14, 1933 in Augusta County, daughter of the late Earl P. Reid, Sr. and Agnes Hite Reid.

She retired from Burlington Industries and was a lifetime member of Poplar Hill Presbyterian Church until its closing.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl P. Reid, Jr. and a niece, Emily Bennington.

She is survived by her sister, Peggy L. Reid of Lexington; special friends, Mike, Connie, Chantel and Monica Bartley of Glasgow; a niece, Cindy Keyes of Buena Vista; a sister-in-law, Lee C. Reid of Roanoke and special pet lovebird, Peanut.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by the Lomax Funeral Home.
