Aldin Dewey (Sam) Wells, 89, of Glasgow, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 in Heritage Hall.

He was born November 22, 1917, a son of the late James Raleigh Wells and Edna Patterson Wells.

He was preceded in death by two grandsons.

Mr. Wells was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and retired from Locher Brick.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Vera Hensley Wells of Glasgow and two sons: James Marion Wells of Glasgow and Ronald Edward Wells of Waynesboro; a special granddaughter, Susan Keith of Troutville; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and an uncle.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William K. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Glasgow Baptist Church.
