Melissa Tyree Agnor, 97, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Shenandoah Valley Health Care Center.

She was born February 5, 1910 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Lewis E. Tyree and Amanda Robertson Tyree.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Agnor.

She is survived by two sisters: Frances Garland of Maryland and Beulah Coffman of Virginia Beach; a brother, Lawrence E. Tyree of Harrisonburg; a nephew, Harold Watts of Buena Vista; and a niece, Maxine Hunnicutt of Georgia.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David Bain officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista.
