Robert Lewis Huffman, Sr., 64, of Buena Vista, went to meet the Lord Tuesday, July 10, 2007 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 6, 1943 in Lexington, a son of James D. Huffman and the late Craim Chittum Huffman.

He spent two years in the U.S. Army and 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service.

He was a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church and the V.F.W.

In addition to his father, Mr. Huffman is survived by his wife, Clara S. Huffman; four children: Sharon H. Dudley and husband, Marvin, of Lexington; Monica H. Huffman and husband, Mike; Robert L. Huffman, Jr. and wife, Marie of Buena Vista; and Christie H. Stuart and husband, Jim of Fairfield; seven grandchildren: Lauren Dudley, Brandon Huffman, Sarah Dudley, Halley Huffman, Hunter Huffman, Chandler Stuart, and Carter Stuart; a brother, James (Jimmy) Huffman of Buena Vista; and a sister, Bernice H. Tyree of Buena Vista.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. A. Mills and the Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
