Obituary for Richard Charles "Bug" Carr, Jr. Richard Charles "Bug" Carr, Jr.
Worked In Burlington Management With Over 40 Years Of Service

Richard Charles "Bug" Carr, Jr., 81, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born January 30, 1926 in Glasgow, he was the son of the late Richard Charles, Sr. and Annabelle Camden Carr.

Mr. Carr retired from management at Burlington Industries in 1987 after over 40 years of service.

He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Lucille W. Carr; his son, Charles Edward "Chuck" Carr of Natural Bridge Station; and a brother and sister-in-law, James Calvin and Shirley Carr of Lexington.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007, at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Thomas and Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Lomax Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Buena Vista Baptist Church.

The Lomax Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
