Hudnall Albert (Doc) Nicely, 67, of Lynchburg, formerly of Covington, died Saturday, August 4, 2007.

He was born September 1, 1939 in Clifton Forge and grew up in Rockbridge County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Watkins Nicely; two children: Jennifer and Jason; three brothers: Clyde, David, and Keith.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Nicely and wife, Sheri of Florida; two daughters: Melissa Wise and husband, Gabriel of Lynchburg; and Sharon Nicely, Roanoke; five grandchildren: Gabriel, Adrianna, Alyssa and Christian Wise, Rhiannon Nicely; four brothers: Warren Nicely, Vinton; Bertrand Nicely, Ryland Nicely of Blackstone; Peter J. Nicely, Bent Mountain; two sisters: Victoria Nicely of California and Teresa Frye, Roanoke.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery, Rockbridge Baths, with R. W. Swisher officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
