Malinda Lucille Goodbar, 92, of Lexington, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at her home.

Born May 10, 1915 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Taylor Hall and Martha Isabelle Crist Hall.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the Spring Valley Community Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Goodbar.

Surviving are her children: Joseph E. Goodbar of Las Vegas; R. Joanne Goodbar of Lexington and Kenneth L. "Butch" Hall of Lexington; two sisters: Elizabeth Sylvia of Glasgow and Helen Tudor of Florida; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 in the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family suggests that contributions may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice or the Effinger First Responders. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
