Bedford Native Dies At Age 43

Cynthia Lynn (Goff) Manley, 43, of Lexington, died on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born on February 18, 1964 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Russell Douglas Goff, Sr. and Shirley Marie (Agee) Goff.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell D. Goff, Jr.

Mrs. Manley is survived by her husband, Paul A. Manley; three stepchildren: Paul A. Southers and Chris A. Southers, both of Lexington; and Michael B. Southers of Natural Bridge; a brother, David Goff and wife, Sue, of Buena Vista; a sister, Debbie Goff and partner, Clem, of Glasgow; a special mother-in-law, Elaine H. Manley of Lexington; two nephews: Michael W. Goff and partner, Ashley; and Blake Goff; a niece, Tristen Casey; a special great niece, Chloe Goff; and a number of aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Warden, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Davita Dialysis Center, 756 N. Lee Highway, Lexington, Va 24450. There will be no vistation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
