Obituary for Curtis Eugene Hostetter Curtis Eugene Hostetter
County Native Dies At Age 78

Curtis Eugene Hostetter, 78, of Lexington, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Kendal of Lexington.

He was born August 9, 1929 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late John Thomas Hostetter and Mary Catherine Smith Hostetter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June Southers Hostetter; four brothers: Tom, Edward, Reese, and Wilson Hostetter; five sisters: Annie Ruley, Myrtle Staton, Virginia Greene, Della Hostetter, and Nancy Southers.

He is survived by a special great nephew, Edward Wallace and wife, Effie, of Lexington; and a brother, Lawrence Richard Hostetter, Natural Bridge; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by Bishop Leon Wilhelm officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2007 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
