Jeannie Catherine Chapman, 58, of Roanoke died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 1, 1948, a daughter of the late Arvil McCoy Thompson and Ruth Layne Thompson.

She was a cashier for Kmart.

She was preceded in death by a son, Steven (Lenny) Chapman; a daughter, Penny Crockram; and a sister, Barbara Dameron.

Surviving are: her husband, Gerald L. Chapman; a daughter, Jacquline Wolfe and husband, Brian, of Palm Beach, FL; a sister, Sharon Plogger and husband, Freddie, of Natural Bridge Station; two grandchildren, one niece, and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Glasgow Baptist Church with Rev. William Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista.
