Melvin Jacob Mason, 86, of Lexington, died Sunday, November 4, 2007.

He was born April 23, 1921 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Jacob and Rose Montgomery Mason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle Mae Mason.

He is survived by a son, Melvin Douglas Mason and a daughter, Gail Nuckols, both of Lexington.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Bishop E. Leon Wilhelm, Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
