Mollie Marlene Stewart, 68, of Lexington, died on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, in Roanoke, VA.

Born June 3, 1939 in Green Lee, VA, she was a daughter of the late Thelma Thompson and Ishmeal Turner.

In Addition to her parents, Mollie was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd and Francis Turner.

Mollie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Stewart; a daughter Marlene Carbage, of Lexington; a son, Tim Stewart of Greensboro, NC, four grandchildren: Justin Stewart, of Lexington, VA; Adrian Stewart, of Lexington, VA; Kiana Carbage, of Lexington; and Jasmine Lambert, of Woodbridge, VA; a sister, Eloise Moore and her husband, Earl, of Charlottesville, VA; three brothers: Mike Turner, of Glasgow, Morris Edward Turner and his wife, Deloris, of Glasgow, and Doug Turner, of Lexington; two sisters-in-law: Hazel Turner, of Glasgow, and Hattie Stewart, of Lexington, three brothers-in-law: Henry Stewart, of Petersburg, James Stewart and his wife, Annie Mae, of Lexington; and Leonard Stewart, Sr. and his wife, Ruth, of Lexington; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mollie was retired house keeper at Washington and Lee University. She was a member of the Church of God and Christ, of Lexington. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who was a happy, joyful, caring person who would do anything for those she loved.

A funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday November 8, 2007 at Union Baptist Church in Glasgow, VA., with Pastor Mark McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, in Glasgow.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday November 7, 2007 at the funeral home.
