Obituary for Pauline Earehart Rowe Pauline Earehart Rowe
Fairfield High School Graduate Worked With DuPont As Supervisor

Pauline Earehart Rowe, of Madison Heights, died Monday December 10, 2007, with her family by her side.

She was the wife of Leonard L. Rowe for 55 years.

Pauline was born in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Emmett and Cora Rodgers Earehart. Seven brothers and sisters also predeceased her.

She was a graduate of Fairfield High School. She worked as a Supervisor with the DuPont Corporation in Waynesboro, where she met Leonard.

After moving to Madison Heights, she worked for Bank of Virginia and retired as Branch Manager.

She was very active in and was a charter member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She and Leonard made quite a good woodworking team with Leonard crafting the wood pieces and Pauline painting them. Pauline was also an avid bowler who had also piloted planes, shot archery, and was the catcher on the DuPont softball team.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Rowe and wife Kay of Amherst and Kevin Rowe and wife Teresa of Gastonia, NC; her grandchildren: Tim Rowe and wife Christine of Madison Heights, Cindy Rowe of Madison Heights, Jordan and Jason Rowe, both of Gastonia, NC; and her great grandson, Jeremy Rowe of Madison Heights.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, in Amherst Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Meredith officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church.
